Shea Wetzler, a product of the Kalamazoo-Portage area, is the owner-operator of Shea Photography. She has been engaged in the business of professional photography for over nineteen years. With skills in fine wedding and bridal photography, family groups, high school seniors and children’s portraits, Shea brings a unique style to portraiture that is sure to please even the most discriminating client. A recipient of several awards as an artisan, Shea is also honored with recognition of photography excellence by the Professional Photographer Affiliations having won blue ribbons in the portrait category.

Shea received her education from Davenport College, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Western Michigan University and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts as well as numerous professional training seminars in the professional photography field. She has been a part of the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Michigan, Professional Photographers of Mid-Michigan, Wedding Photographers International and has served on the Board of Directors of the Professional Photographers of Western Michigan.

Professional experience includes photojournalism for the Kalamazoo Centennial Photography Documentation Project, Michigan council for the Humanities. Photos in the city of Kalamazoo Museum archives, 1995, 1990. Published photos include several calendars, one of which is Kodak’s hardcover desk calendar. In addition to freelance enterprises, Shea is proficient in capturing Special Events, Headshots, Corporate, Preschools, Models, and documentary.
